Basics - Or, "Oh Shoot it's Way Too Late Now to Ask Marly That..."

For those of you who forgot where I was going but were too embarrassed to ask: I am doing an exchange semester at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia!

PSA:

• I have access to pretty consistent Wifi at least once a day- Whatsapp is my preferred means of communication but really, any medium works. 
• I have a Colombian SIM card, so do not be alarmed if Whatsapp notified you of a number change. I'm still uncertain what mediums of communication are affected, but everything should be alright.
• Barranquilla is on Central Time!
• The exchange rate is $1 USD = 2,896 COP
